Commercial buildings and warehouses – Port Ginesta

New commercial buildings and warehouses – Port Ginesta

The 2 buildings of this project are located within the extension of the Port Ginesta Marina. They are located on the flat land formed by the harbour breakwater. CTS arquitectes previously carried out the project for the rest of the existing buildings in Port Ginesta.

The building is distributed over the whole area with different heights according to the Special Plan.

One plot (C10) is located along the Moll de Ponent (West Quay), is completely rectangular (10.00 x 103.50 m) and measures 1,035 m2. It has a slight slope towards the water.

The other site (C9) is located in the Central Quay and forms an L-shape with the previous one. In itself, it has a trapezoidal shape and measures 2,310.54 m2. The topography is practically flat.

The project involves the construction of two buildings on the plots located on the Central Quay (C9) and the West Quay (C10), within the area of the new Port Ginesta extension.

The building on the Central Quay plot (C9) is contained in the volume defined in the SP (GF+mezzanine) and adapts in plan to the trapezoidal shape of the plot. The uses of the building correspond to those defined in the SF Development Proposal:
C9 COMMERCIAL: Part of the building used for catering, sports, offices and administration, retail and storage. In this part the building has a height of GF+mezzanine.

PORT SERVICES Part of the building destined to storage areas (spaces used to store tools and materials for the vessels or engines of the commercial premises and workshops). In this area, the building is on the ground floor.

The building on the West Quay plot (C10) is also contained in the volume defined in the SF and is totally rectangular in plan and is developed on the ground floor. The volume of the building is crossed transversally by 2 passages that connect both sides of the quay. The uses are as follows:
Sports, offices and administrative, trade and warehouse, Transformer Station (TS), public toilets for the Port. The buildings have some volumes on the roof floor for the location of air-conditioning machinery for the premises, which give a more architectural character to the complex.
